Phillies Look to Bounce Back After Getting Shellacked by Nats

The Phillies are licking their wounds after getting absolutely torched 10-4 by the Nationals last night at home. That's the kind of beatdown that leaves a mark, especially when you're trying to hold down your division lead in early August. Washington came into Citizens Bank Park and put on a clinic, making Philadelphia's pitching staff look like a Triple-A audition. DarkHorse rode the Nationals +1.5 and cashed comfortably—sometimes the sharps just know.

Now the question is whether Philly has the stones to respond or if the Nats have found something real in this series. Washington's offense clearly isn't intimidated by the atmosphere, and they'll be looking to press their advantage with momentum firmly on their side. The Phillies need their starter to give them length and keep this from turning into a bullpen nightmare two nights running.

This is a classic "how do you respond after getting embarrassed at home?" spot. Philly's got the talent to flip the script, but the Nationals proved last night they're not just rolling over for anybody. DarkHorse hasn't weighed in on tonight's matchup yet, but don't be shocked if the value keeps tilting toward the visitors. Sometimes the dog just has your number.
