49ers Edge Raiders in Preseason Snoozer as DarkHorse Under Cashes Easy

NFL

The 49ers limped past the Raiders 18-12 Friday night in a preseason finale that played out exactly as advertised: boring, conservative, and mercifully low-scoring. DarkHorse's under 38.5 never broke a sweat, cruising home with 30 points to spare as both sidelines looked like they'd rather be anywhere else.

San Francisco's stars watched from the sideline in street clothes while depth pieces slogged through vanilla offensive sets. The Raiders weren't much better, still playing coy with their quarterback situation and showing zero urgency to light up the scoreboard. Combined, these teams mustered just 30 points — the kind of output that makes you wonder if either offense remembered to show up.

This was roster-bubble football at its finest: tentative playcalling, zero creativity, and the kind of execution that makes you appreciate the regular season. The 49ers managed just enough to pull ahead late, but calling this a "win" feels generous when nobody in the building seemed particularly invested in the outcome.

DarkHorse nailed this one from the jump. Preseason finales are graveyard shifts for scoring, and this matchup delivered the sleepy, risk-averse slog we predicted. Sometimes the easiest money is betting on teams that simply don't care. Chalk up another hit for The Stable.
