Athletics Steal One in Seattle, +1.5 Backers Cash Easy

MLB

The Athletics walked into T-Mobile Park and did exactly what we said they could—hang tough and cover the runline in a 7-6 thriller that had DarkHorse backers cashing tickets with room to spare. Oakland didn't just cover the +1.5; they won the damn thing outright as road dogs, proving once again that Seattle's recent form is more mirage than menace.

Kade Morris and his bloated 9.82 ERA somehow kept the A's within striking distance early, while Logan Gilbert—supposedly the elite arm in this matchup—did his job but got zero help from a Mariners bullpen that's been gassed for weeks. Seattle's relievers coughed up runs late, validating every concern about their overworked 'pen and that ugly 6.4 runs allowed per game over their last five. The Mariners clawed to within one but couldn't complete the comeback, their inconsistent offense (4.6 R/G in their last ten) sputtering when it mattered most.

Oakland's bats stayed hot after torching Seattle 7-4 in the previous meeting, and the +1.5 never broke a sweat. Sometimes the sharper play isn't backing the better pitcher—it's fading the team that can't get out of its own way. The Athletics just proved it again.
