Game Recap
Blue Jackets Steal One in Philly, Edge Flyers 4-3
Columbus rolled into Wells Fargo Center and grabbed two points they desperately needed, outlasting Philadelphia 4-3 in a game that had more lead changes than a heavyweight bout. The Blue Jackets showed up when it mattered, finding a way to close out a scrappy Flyers squad that refuses to go quietly despite their season circling the drain.
This one was a back-and-forth affair that came down to execution in the final frame. Columbus managed to build enough cushion to survive a late Philadelphia push, holding on despite the Flyers throwing everything at them down the stretch. Credit where it's due—the Jackets' goaltending stood tall when the game got dicey, and that's the difference between flying home with points or empty-handed.
Philadelphia continues to play hard but can't seem to find that finishing gear. Moral victories don't climb you out of the basement, and dropping these tight ones at home will haunt them when they're golfing in April. For Columbus, this is the kind of gritty road win that keeps playoff hopes flickering. Nothing pretty about it, but they'll take ugly wins over pretty losses every single night.
The Stable didn't have action on this one, so we just get to sit back and appreciate a well-earned Columbus road victory.
