Broncos Get Steamrolled in KC as Sharp Money Burns on Denver

NFL

Well, that sharp money got torched. The Broncos limped into Arrowhead and got absolutely throttled 31-10, turning our Denver +2 pick into expensive confetti. So much for that "superior rushing attack" — Kansas City's defense stuffed whatever ground game Denver thought they had, and the Chiefs' offense looked nothing like the 21.3 points-per-game unit we cited. Patrick Mahomes carved up the Broncos secondary while Denver's offense sputtered through three quarters of futility.

The line movement that supposedly signaled smart money on the underdog? Turns out the sharps got this one dead wrong, or the public was smarter than we gave them credit for. Denver's 23.6 points-per-game average looked like a typo once Kansas City's defense clamped down. The Broncos managed just 10 points — nearly 14 below their season average — while the Chiefs eclipsed their scoring norm by almost 10.

Divisional opener? More like a statement game. Kansas City reminded everyone why they're still the class of the AFC West, and Denver's metrics meant precisely nothing once the ball was kicked. Sometimes the favorite is favored for a reason, and sometimes sharp money just burns. This was both. Miss, and it wasn't close.
