Chargers Steamroll Texans 27-7 in Houston Beatdown

NFL

The Chargers rolled into Houston and absolutely dismantled the Texans 27-7, turning NRG Stadium into their personal practice facility. This wasn't competitive past the first quarter.

Los Angeles controlled every phase from the opening whistle. Their defense suffocated Houston's offense all afternoon, holding them to a single touchdown while generating consistent pressure and shutting down the run game. The Texans looked completely overmatched, unable to establish any rhythm or sustain drives against a Chargers defense that came to play.

Offensively, the Chargers didn't need fireworks—just efficiency. They methodically moved the ball, controlled the clock, and put up 27 points without breaking a sweat. The balanced attack kept Houston's defense on its heels, and the 20-point margin doesn't even tell the full story of this domination.

Houston's lone touchdown felt like a consolation prize in what was otherwise a clinic. The Texans couldn't protect their quarterback, couldn't generate explosive plays, and looked thoroughly outclassed by a Chargers squad that came in with a clear gameplan and executed it to perfection.

DarkHorse didn't publish a pick here, which is probably for the best—this game was over before most folks finished their pregame tailgates. The Chargers made a statement, and the Texans got embarrassed at home.
