Charlotte FC Shreds Crew, Sends Under 2.5 Backers to the Glue Factory

Charlotte FC put on an attacking clinic at home, dismantling Columbus 3-1 and sending our under 2.5 pick straight to the knacker's yard. So much for cautious, feeling-out soccer after the Leagues Cup break — somebody forgot to tell Charlotte they were supposed to ease back into league play.

The hosts raced out to a commanding lead, exploiting a Crew backline that looked rusty despite thirteen days to prepare. Charlotte's attack shredded Columbus's vaunted defensive metrics (1.287 xGA per game coming in), turning expected goals into actual ones with clinical finishing. The Crew managed a consolation goal but never threatened a comeback, looking every bit a road team caught cold.

Our under call banked on both sides' defensive solidity and recent form hovering right around the 2.8 total-goals mark.
