Game Recap
Devils Demolish Stars 5-1 in Dallas, No Mercy Shown
The New Jersey Devils rolled into Dallas and absolutely steamrolled the Stars 5-1, turning American Airlines Center into their personal shooting gallery. This wasn't a game—it was a statement, and Dallas had no answer.
New Jersey came out buzzing and never let up, peppering the Stars' netminder while their own goaltender stood on his head when it mattered. The Devils' offensive depth was on full display, spreading the wealth across multiple lines while Dallas looked sluggish and disjointed. By the time the Stars finally solved the Jersey goalie for their lone tally, it was already 4-0 and essentially garbage time.
What's most damning for Dallas? This happened at home. The Stars are supposed to be a contender in the Central, but they got absolutely pantsed by a Devils squad that's clearly finding its groove. The special teams battle wasn't even close, and Dallas couldn't generate sustained pressure to save their lives.
We didn't have a pick on this one, which is probably for the best—this game was tougher to handicap than it looked on paper. But if you had Devils money, you're cashing tickets and feeling smug. Jersey's rolling, Dallas is reeling, and that 5-1 final tells the whole ugly story.
