Dodgers Cruise Past Marlins 6-2 in Miami Rout

MLB

The Dodgers made LoanDepot Park look like a spring training facility Tuesday night, dismantling the Marlins 6-2 in a game that was never really competitive. Los Angeles jumped ahead early and never looked back, turning this one into batting practice against Miami's overmatched pitching staff.

The Dodgers' offense clicked on all cylinders, manufacturing runs with the efficiency of a well-oiled machine while their pitching staff kept the Marlins' bats firmly in check. Miami managed just two runs against LA's arms, a performance that tells you everything you need to know about where these franchises stand right now.

For the Marlins, this was another night of going through the motions in what's shaping up to be a long season. Two runs won't cut it against anybody, let alone a Dodgers squad that's built to dominate these matchups. The home crowd—what little of it showed up—had nothing to cheer about after the early innings.

DarkHorse didn't publish a pick here, probably because handicapping the Marlins right now is like betting on which direction water flows downhill. The Dodgers did exactly what playoff-caliber teams do to rebuilding clubs: showed up, took care of business, and caught a flight out. Nothing more, nothing less.
