Game Recap
Ducks Silence Saddledome, Cash as Road Dogs Again
The Stable cashed another road ticket as Anaheim rolled into Calgary and delivered exactly what we projected: a 4-2 dismantling of the still-winless Flames. Our Ducks ML at -120 hit clean, improving Anaheim's pristine road record to 3-0 while Calgary drops to a dismal 0-5.
The goaltending gap we hammered all week proved decisive. Ville Husso wasn't perfect but didn't need to be, turning aside enough rubber while Calgary's net remained the league's most porous disaster zone. The Flames managed just two goals against a Ducks defense that's now surrendered only six goals in three road contests — that 2.0 road GA we cited keeps holding like gospel.
Anaheim controlled pace and capitalized on a Calgary squad that simply cannot defend its own building. The Flames' 1.6 goals per game at home (they're averaging worse now after tonight) continues to be a neon sign for fade material. Meanwhile, the Ducks proved our back-to-back rest concerns were overblown — good teams with goaltending advantages and defensive structure don't wilt on short rest against basement dwellers.
Calgary is broken. Anaheim is legit on the road. We read it right, the market gave us value, and The Stable collected. That's three straight road wins for the Ducks and another winner for the DarkHorse desk.
