Eagles Escape Nashville With 24-20 Nail-Biter, Under Crashes Hard

NFL

So much for controlling the clock and strangling Tennessee's offense into submission. The Eagles scraped out a 24-20 road win Sunday, but this was no methodical beatdown—it was a dogfight that sent our under 39.5 straight to the glue factory.

Philadelphia got their 24, just like Week 1, but here's the kicker: Mitchell Trubisky and Tennessee's supposedly "anemic" attack more than doubled their Week 1 output, putting up 20 points and making this a legitimate contest down the stretch. The 10-points-per-game narrative? Toss it. The Titans found enough juice—whether through chunk plays, defensive turnovers setting up short fields, or just sheer desperation—to keep pace far longer than anyone expected.

Andy Dalton and Saquon Barkley did enough to win, but they never buried the Titans. No second-half suffocation, no clock-killing ground game that put this thing to bed early. Instead, we got 44 combined points and a finish that stayed competitive into the fourth quarter. DarkHorse's under call banked on Tennessee's offense staying broken. It didn't. Sometimes the matchup math checks out on paper and reality laughs in your face. This was one of those days. Eagles win, bettors holding the under lose.
