Golden Knights Laugh Off Back-to-Back Fatigue, Bury Nashville 5-2
So much for rest mattering. The Golden Knights rolled into Bridgestone Arena on zero days off and promptly dismantled the Predators 5-2, making our Predators ML pick look as foolish as trusting a goalie advantage that never materialized. Vegas jumped out early and never looked back, turning what should've been a scheduling nightmare into a statement road win.
Juuse Saros, the supposed trump card with his .915 save percentage, got lit up when it mattered most. Meanwhile, Adin Hill—the guy we faded based on a tiny two-game sample at .886—stood tall enough to collect the W. Turns out fresh legs mean nothing when you can't finish, and Nashville's offense looked more tired than the visitors who played less than 24 hours ago. The Predators managed just two goals against a goalie we pegged as the weak link, while Vegas potted five on the netminder we thought would steal two points.
The market had this one right all along: Vegas was the road favorite for a reason, and we chased fool's gold on plus-money home ice. Back-to-backs don't matter when one team simply wants it more. Knights cash, we eat the loss, and the lesson stings—sometimes the obvious play is obvious for a reason.
