Guardians Grind Out 4-3 Win, Cash -140 Ticket in Anaheim

MLB

The Guardians made it seven straight, edging the Angels 4-3 in a game that was tighter than it had any business being. Cleveland came in riding momentum and a season series stranglehold, and they got just enough to send DarkHorse backers home happy on that -140 line.

Joey Cantillo didn't blow anyone away, but he did exactly what the model projected—outpitched Grayson Rodriguez. The Angels' returning starter looked every bit like a guy shaking off shoulder rust, and Cleveland capitalized early enough to build a cushion. The Guardians offense, which had been averaging over five runs per game against Anaheim this season, didn't explode but manufactured four the hard way—timely hitting, situational baseball, the kind of grit that wins in September.

The Angels made it interesting late, scratching across three runs and reminding everyone why one-run games are never comfortable. But Cleveland's bullpen slammed the door, preserving the win and extending their dominance in this matchup to a pristine 6-0 on the year.

This one hit because the fundamentals held: better starter, better form, better team. The line was fair at -140, but the Guardians' edge was real. Sometimes the math just works.
