Marlins Bats Bully Reds in Cincinnati, DarkHorse Cashes Easy

MLB

The Marlins rolled into Great American Ball Park and did exactly what DarkHorse predicted: punished a shaky Reds pitching staff en route to an 8-4 victory that never felt as close as the final margin suggests. Miami's offense, riding that 6.0 runs-per-game surge over their last five, showed up hungry and never let Cincinnati's underwhelming arms settle in.

While we projected both starters to leak runs—and they obliged—it was Miami's depth that made the difference. The Marlins jumped ahead early and kept adding on, turning this into a comfortable wire-to-wire cruise. Cincinnati's 54% home-field advantage? Completely neutralized by a visiting squad that came to hit and had zero interest in playing nice.

DarkHorse nailed this one with the Marlins moneyline, and frankly, it wasn't even a sweat. The handicap was spot-on: Miami's superior team ERA and offensive firepower overwhelmed a Reds club that's been stuck in neutral at 2-3 over their last five. When you're getting plus-money or a near pick'em on the hotter team with better fundamentals, you take it. The Stable cashes another winner, and the Reds are left wondering why they can't solve mediocre pitching when it matters. Onward.
