Nationals Roll Past Reds 7-1 as Brad Lord Dominates, DarkHorse Cashes Easy

MLB

The Nationals made it look routine Wednesday night, throttling the Reds 7-1 behind exactly the kind of pitching edge DarkHorse spotted in the pregame breakdown. Brad Lord was every bit the "solid arm" advertised, shutting down a Cincinnati lineup that came in looking overmatched on paper and played even worse in reality. Those sub-.600 OPS bats in the Reds' projected order? They delivered as promised—lots of weak contact, no answers.

Washington jumped ahead early and never looked back, piling on seven runs while Brady Singer once again proved hittable and below-average. The Nationals improved to 6-2 at home and pushed their season series dominance to 5-1, continuing a pattern of absolute ownership over Cincinnati. Two straight wins, five of six in the series, and a lineup that's clicking at the right time.

DarkHorse's Nationals ML at -106 cashed without drama. The reasoning was surgical: pitching mismatch, home/away splits, series context, and a market that didn't respect any of it. When you get near-even money on a clear edge, you hammer it. The Stable did exactly that, and the scoreboard took care of the rest. Sometimes handicapping is complicated. Tonight it was just math.
