NFL Power Rankings: The Great Reset—Who's Really Ready for 2026?

NFL

Welcome to Week 32, folks, where every team sits at 0-0 and the slate is wiped cleaner than a rookie's playbook. The Paddock Report doesn't deal in offseason hype or training camp fluff—we deal in cold, hard probabilities. And right now? We've got nothing but a perfectly balanced ledger.

So let's cut through the noise. The 49ers sit atop our alphabetical standings, but that's about as meaningful as a preseason trophy. Same goes for the Chiefs at tenth—Andy Reid's squad doesn't care where you rank them in August. History tells us Kansas City enters every season as a legitimate Super Bowl threat until proven otherwise, and nothing in this data contradicts that.

The Bears at second? Chicago's been selling hope for years, but hope doesn't cash tickets. Show me the wins first. Meanwhile, the Bills and Bengals—both perennial contenders—occupy the three and four slots, though those positions mean absolutely nothing until somebody actually takes the field.

Here's the reality for sharp bettors: we're in the information desert. No efficiency ratings, no point differentials, no injury reports to parse. Every team has the same record, which means every team has the same theoretical chance. The Raiders and Ravens both sit at .000—and for vastly different reasons, we suspect.

The Lions at twentieth alphabetically might be the league's most underrated squad based on recent trajectory, but until we see actual game data, it's all conjecture. Same for the Vikings at thirty-second—their alphabetical disadvantage tells us nothing about their playoff odds.

Bottom line? Check back next week when we've got real numbers to dissect. Until then, every power ranking is just expensive guesswork. The season hasn't started, and neither has the real analysis.
