Niners, Chiefs, and... the Raiders? Week 4 Power Rankings Shake the Board
Four weeks in, and we've got four undefeateds—but only two look built for the distance. San Francisco sits atop the heap at 4-0 with a blistering 32.7 points per game, the kind of offensive firepower that separates contenders from pretenders. Kansas City checks in right behind at 29.5 PPG, because Andy Reid's offense doesn't do rebuilding years. Minnesota's perfect record feels more smoke than fire at just 23.7 PPG—they're winning, but they're not scaring anyone in the film room.
Then there's Las Vegas at 3-0, dropping 29.3 per game and making us all reconsider whether this roster was actually underrated in August. The Raiders have legitimate juice on offense, and until someone proves they can slow them down, they belong in the top tier conversation.
The Bills are the most dangerous 3-1 team in football. Buffalo's 31.8 PPG trails only San Francisco, yet here they sit with a blemish already. That loss is going to age like fine wine for whoever caught them—this offense is a buzzsaw. Chicago's also 3-1 with 29.7 PPG, quietly assembling a top-five attack while everyone obsesses over the coasts.
On the flip side, Cleveland and New York's Giants are frauds hiding behind winning records. The Browns score 20.2 per game—that's barely ahead of the winless Texans—and the Giants are limping to 3-1 on a ghastly 15.3 PPG. Both are regression candidates screaming to get exposed.
The basement is exactly what you'd expect: Tampa, the Chargers, Houston, and Tennessee all winless, all offensively anemic. Miami's 0-3 with 12 points per game, which might be generous.
For your money this week, fade the Giants hard, ride the Bills as a live dog anywhere, and don't sleep on those Raiders. The West is wild again.
