Orioles Walk It Off, Send Rays Packing 3-2

MLB

Baltimore just gutted out a 3-2 walk-off win over Tampa Bay, and DarkHorse's Rays pick at -135 goes straight into the loss column. So much for that McClanahan pitching edge — turns out Brandon Young had other ideas, and the O's offense did just enough when it mattered.

The Rays managed only two runs despite that vaunted .261 team average we kept hearing about, while the Orioles scratched across three in front of their home crowd to stay hot in this season series. Tampa's 7-1 recent road record? Irrelevant when you can't capitalize with runners on base. Baltimore improved to 8-3 against the Rays this year, and that head-to-head dominance continues to tell the real story — not some ERA differential that looks pretty on paper.

McClanahan's 3.25 ERA was supposed to be the difference-maker, but baseball doesn't care about your spreadsheet when the other team manufactures runs and plays with momentum. Young held his own, the Orioles bullpen locked it down late, and someone in that Baltimore lineup delivered when the lights were brightest.

The market had Tampa at 57.4% implied probability. The Orioles just reminded everyone why division rivals who own the season series deserve more respect than that. Tough break, but the numbers don't hit themselves.
