Red Sox-Blue Jays Sneak Over the Line, DarkHorse's Under Sinks

MLB

The Red Sox and Blue Jays combined for eight runs at Rogers Centre, pushing the total to 8 and burying DarkHorse's UNDER 7.0 in a 5-3 Toronto victory. So much for that elite pitching matchup.

Dylan Cease and Patrick Sandoval were supposed to suffocate these offenses—and for a while, they did. But baseball has a funny way of punishing overconfidence in pitcher dominance. The bats woke up just enough to nudge past the number, with Toronto's lineup finally breaking through after averaging under four runs per game against Boston this season. The Red Sox chipped in three of their own, well above their anemic 2.43 runs-per-game average in the series.

Back-to-back fatigue? Apparently not a factor when runs matter most. The game stayed tight throughout, but that's cold comfort when you need seven or fewer and get eight. DarkHorse leaned hard on the season trends and starter credentials, and the logic was sound—until it wasn't. Cease and Sandoval are legitimately excellent, but even aces have off moments, and bullpens exist.

The Blue Jays grab the win and send Boston packing. Meanwhile, that UNDER 7.0? Missed by a single run. In this business, close only counts in horseshoes—and we're not throwing those today.
