Red Sox Mash Sheehan Again, Cash +1.5 as Road Dogs in Dodger Stadium Beatdown

MLB

The Red Sox walked into Chavez Ravine and did exactly what we told you they would — punched Emmet Sheehan in the mouth and cashed Boston +1.5 with authority in an 8-4 laugher. Our desk hammered that 2.21 ERA gap between Jake Bennett and Sheehan all week, and Bennett delivered six strong frames while the Sox offense feasted on LA's struggling righty for the third straight time this season. Boston plated five runs in the first four innings, turning this into a stress-free sweat by the sixth inning stretch.

The Dodgers were overpriced at -160 based purely on brand and zip code. We saw a 4-1 Red Sox team with momentum, a dominant season series edge (now 3-0, outscoring LA 14-7), and a starter mismatch the market completely ignored. Sheehan's 4.95 ERA wasn't some fluke — Boston's lineup had already solved him twice, and they carved him up again for six earned before he mercifully exited in the fifth.

Bennett wasn't perfect, but he didn't need to be. Four runs allowed, sure, but he kept LA off-balance enough to let the bats do the heavy lifting. The +1.5 was never in doubt after the fourth inning. Sometimes the sharp side is obvious if you're willing to fade the big-market narrative. Chalk up another winner.
