Royals Make It Look Easy, Cash Another Ticket Against Flailing A's

MLB

The Royals took care of business at home, dismantling the Athletics 6-2 and delivering a clean winner for anyone who laid the -145. This one played out exactly as the numbers suggested it would—Randy Dobnak's sub-2.00 ERA wasn't just a mirage, and Oakland's bats continued their extended nap through another forgettable afternoon.

Kansas City jumped ahead and never looked back, building enough cushion that the A's feeble two-run output felt like window dressing. Gage Jump's 4.50 ERA proved prophetic as the Royals offense—already averaging over seven runs per game in this season series—feasted once again. That 2.77 ERA gap between starters wasn't some abstract stat; it manifested as four runs of separation on the scoreboard.

Oakland's five-game losing streak is now a thing, their 4-12 mark over the last 16 games screaming "fade me" in neon letters. The Royals improve to 4-0 against these guys this year, and frankly, it hasn't been close. When you've got the superior starter, home field, and momentum all pointing the same direction, laying -145 is practically a public service.

DarkHorse nailed this one. Sometimes the sharp play is also the obvious play—and that's exactly when you hammer it.
