Saints Shock Baltimore, Cover as Underdogs in 24-17 Upset

NFL

The Saints didn't just cover the 8-point spread in Baltimore—they won outright, 24-17, and made everyone who faded them look foolish. DarkHorse's Saints +8 cashed comfortably, and frankly, it was never in doubt once New Orleans got rolling.

We told you the line movement mattered. We told you sharp money was on New Orleans for a reason. Baltimore's backup quarterback situation and depleted roster—no Zay Flowers, no Nnamdi Madubuike—turned out to be exactly the exploitable weakness we flagged. The Saints' passing attack, which torched defenses for 410 yards in Week 1, did it again when it counted. Meanwhile, Baltimore's vaunted offense managed just 17 points at home, a far cry from the 41-point explosion that had the public overrating them off one road sample.

Eight points was always too many when the market screamed coin-flip. The Ravens couldn't protect their makeshift secondary, couldn't generate consistent pressure, and couldn't cover the number even in their own building. New Orleans played disciplined football, controlled tempo, and walked out of M&T Bank Stadium with a statement win. The sharp money knew. DarkHorse knew. And if you tailed, you knew too. Easy money.
