Game Recap
Titans Find Offense at Perfect Time, Bury DarkHorse's Under in Indy
So much for Tennessee's historically anemic offense. The Titans walked into Lucas Oil Stadium and dropped 26 points on the Colts in a 26-20 slugfest that sailed over DarkHorse's under 44.5 call and left us licking our wounds. Forty-six combined points doesn't sound like a shootout, but when you've been banking on a unit averaging 11.6 points per game to stay quiet, watching them nearly double their season average stings.
The premise wasn't crazy—Tennessee's offense had been a dumpster fire, and divisional games usually tighten up. But the Titans chose Sunday to remember they're NFL players, cobbling together enough chunk plays and red-zone efficiency to make our reasoning look silly. Indianapolis held up their end of the bargain offensively with 20 points, right in their wheelhouse, but couldn't get the stop when it mattered.
Credit where it's due: Tennessee's offense woke up when we needed them comatose. The Colts defense, which we thought might suffocate a struggling attack, got gashed just enough. Divisional familiarity didn't breed contempt—it bred 46 points and a missed ticket. Sometimes the worst offense in football picks the absolute worst time to find a pulse. That's the NFL. We'll be back.
