Twins Flip the Script on Drohan, Sink Brewers 8-6

MLB

So much for that starter differential. Shane Drohan and his shiny 3.48 ERA got absolutely shelled at American Family Field, and the Twins rode that early chaos to an 8-6 victory that made our Brewers -178 play look foolish in hindsight. Minnesota jumped all over Milwaukee's southpaw before he could settle in, staking themselves to a lead they'd never relinquish despite Milwaukee's late-game push.

The Brewers' injury-riddled lineup—missing Yelich, Chourio, and Bauers as flagged in our original analysis—couldn't generate enough punch when it mattered most. Sure, they clawed back to make it 8-6, but that's the baseball equivalent of your ex texting "hey" at 2 a.m.—too little, way too late. Zebby Matthews, the guy we faded with his 5.22 ERA, did just enough to keep Minnesota ahead while the Twins' offense exploited every crack in Milwaukee's armor.

This one stings because the logic was sound: superior team ERA, home field, meaningful pitching edge on paper. But baseball doesn't play out on spreadsheets, and when your ace gets lit up early, that -178 price tag starts feeling awfully steep. The Brewers' depleted roster finally caught up to them, and we're left holding the bag on a MISSED pick that never had a chance once Drohan faltered.
