Vikings Escape MetLife With Ugly 13-10 Slog Over Giants

NFL

The Vikings limped out of East Rutherford with a 13-10 win that felt more like a crime scene than a football game. Minnesota's offense sputtered through four quarters of uninspired football, managing just 13 points against a Giants defense that's been getting torched all season. This wasn't dominance—it was survival.

Credit where it's due: Minnesota's defense showed up when it mattered, holding New York to a single touchdown and keeping this anemic offense in striking distance. But let's be honest, scoring 13 points against the Giants is like bragging about outrunning a three-legged dog. The Vikings' offensive line looked porous, the play-calling was conservative to the point of cowardice, and they left at least two touchdowns on the field.

For the Giants, moral victories don't count in the standings, but holding a playoff-caliber team to 13 points shows there's still some fight in this roster. Unfortunately, 10 points won't win you many games in this league, and their offensive struggles continue to define a lost season.

Minnesota gets the W and that's all that matters in January, but if this is the blueprint going forward, they're one-and-done in the playoffs. Ugly wins beat pretty losses, but barely.
